| My post in the Toyota Sequoia III discussion has a blue oval delete symbol on it. Does this mean my post has been deleted and why? Should I repost the same message. I didn't notice delete symbols on any other posts. Thanks. | |

Got to agree with everyone else. No placemarks means I have to scroll through lots of stuff I have absolutely no interest in. Also, what happened to the Owners Clubs? If you're listening Edmunds, this was my favorite auto related site. If these changes stand, it won't be anymore. Too bad. |

The old format was very well designed and user friendly. This is nothing but a headache. I also miss my placemarks where I had noted info I might need at a future date. |

I've selected in my profile to list topic by the most recently active first, yet the dates still seem to be randomly scattered. The order did change, but it is not completely sorted. Someone said it would take a few days for this to "settle" I'm not really buying that. If the post dates are there to generate the topics page, then it should be pretty easy to sort that list. What gives? TB |

I was over in Inconsiderate Buyers Ch 14 and the header says the last post there was at about 1:16am, but if you look at message 442 (as of this writing, the last message) it indicates it was post at 1:16pm Not exactly sure if the 1:16 part, but I can tell you that there is an am/pm problem with the messages and the header in that instance. Could this be part of the message order issue. I doubt it since you will see some Dec 15th topics, then right after that, some topics last active in November, then back to some Dec 15th activity. Cheers, TB |

Sylvia- Might have found another bug! I tried to post the following message a little while ago. When I clicked on Post My Message, it took me back to the welcome page and NOT this topic. However, the BIG problem was- my message DIDN'T get posted!! Luckily, I just used my browser's BACK button to get back to my message so I could cut and paste it into my notepad and try again! Here goes! Sylvia- I will try your suggestion about logging in the "old-fashioned" way from the main Edmunds page to see if this login/not logged in problem disappears. Did you say in a message above that you were surprised by this issue? It happened to me the first time this board appeared back when. SAME thing! My Netscape cache and history files are deleted everytime I quit Netscape. I have Spring Cleaning 3.5 on my MAC. When I sign-off of Netscape, I just click the "i-clean" icon on my desktop and proceed from there. Maybe I will have to delete all my Edmunds cookies too from the old board and start "fresh"?? Another interesting problem- the message I posted in Talk to the Hosts last night is NOT there today? It was last night. Also, I think I answered my own question about the 15 Netscape Bookmarks I made last night for the topics I visit. If I go directly to them to get to where I want to go, it says that I have to login to post. It looks like that was a waste of time. Yes, I did have to cut and paste the name of the topic because all the bookmarks were named the SAME. I'm still not quite sure I understnad this Check Spelling thing. I have added a few words to the dictionary in my preferences, but when I posted my message, the one that is no longer there, it looked like an illiterate wrote it the way it changed my words i.e. Nets cape. I deleted it and did it over by correcting those "errors" manually and reposted it WITHOUT using Check Spelling. Everything was fine, until this morning, when it disappeared. Who knows if this message will even get posted or if it does, if it will STAY posted? Like others, I know you are working very hard to get the kinks out. I appreciate that. However, if I cannot use my Netscape Bookmarks to get to my topics without having to go searching for them in the entire topic list, I will not be coming here any longer either. I have patience, but there is a limit. There's only so many hours in a day. It's really too bad because I have learned a lot here and have benefited from other people's knowledge. In turn, I think I have helped others too. I'll hang in there a little while longer, but you know HOW MUCH we wanted and needed something like the "old" placemark feature to navigate this site. I thought I overcame that problem by just making my own bookmarks, but that doesn't seem to have solved the problem. Now that this feature seems to be number 1 on your list of things to do, I hope it gets resolved soon. Thanks. fastdriver |

Sylvia- Looks like it worked this time. Now let's see if it stays! BTW- the AM/PM thing needs to be fixed. It says 7:07 PM PST. It should say 7:07 AM PST since it's 10:07 AM here in CT. fastdriver |

| Why did you fix what ain't broke? This new townhall system is a total waste of time. If you don't reorganize this soon or preferably reinstitute the old software I for one will take my eyes elsewhere. This new software totally sucks!!! With so many users, you absolutely need the placemark system. Just take a look at the dramatic decline in the number of new posts in some of the forums. | |
| On the old boards, as well as the new board, when I go into town hall, I have the preferences set to show the topics with the most recent activity, click on the topic I want, and I am taken directly to the last post I read. And I don't use/never did use placemarks. I kind of like the new look, although the message threads are a bit harder to read. Once into a topic, I like the new look. For all the bit**ing and moaning I did earlier, I really don't find too many operational differences and I like the new look once inside a topic. | |
| That's because you apparently never got addicted to the placemark. Those that used them, miss it the most. | |
