Go to Forums Preferences on your right and then to Time Offset to set the number of hours +/- Pacific Time to make the displayed time your local time.

I just checked and the time offset is "3" and that makes the 3 hours added to the current Pacific time adjust to Eastern Standard Time. But it doesn't work in the linking time when cited in a reply post; it only works on the displayed time on the post itself.

I've never come across a site that has users specify their time relative to a timezone other than GMT before. Very parochial.
 
I tried to specify my country in preferences, but it seems to default to USA no matter what I select.

why all of a sudden posted pix are not showing up for some readers but are for others.
 
It's pretty annoying.

After reading all the posts in an individual topic then go to "My watched items", the number of unread posts doesn't change. Anyone else have this happening in the last couple of days?

The servers were indexing yesterday and that will make your unread posts seem to reappear.

I tried to send a message by email from my carspace account to another carspace person here on Edmunds. I got this message
 
Outgoing messages are limited to one every 600
 
and it refused to send the email.
 
What do I need to do?

Was that the first message you tried to send that day or had you just sent one earlier? Did you have more than a handful of people on the email?
 
To protect the site from being used by members to send large quantities of spam we do have a number of limits built-in but sending a single email (to their username carspace.com ?) should have gone through. I have someone looking into the logs.
 
We may discontinue the ability to send/receive from outside of CarSpace and make it more of a private messaging feature between members.

That was my first and only message for the day. I was trying to send to a carspace.com addressee.
 
I just went back and tried to send the email and it went through okay this time.
