Replying to: johnv (Aug 01, 2008 2:42 pm) I just checked the cache, and there are about 6 carspace.com cookies. |

I am sure that I used to be able to search by a user's name and have the function return all that person's posts. Now when I try that I get no results. Has something changed?

If you are getting no results, do check the messaging on the page. Is it saying that the search timed out? If so, try selecting a time parameter (last 6 months, 1 year) on the page and try again. Hope that helps.

Now you get on the first search a box with the search words listed a find results in box Saying all messages in a board (but changeable) a box with Forums Softwre! Your questions answered --the current forum and a box called limited by posting date If you change the selection in the second box "find results in" to "All Messages" you can then continue the search to find all posts and all responses including my username in the title. Note the 3rd box listing the current topic being searched disappears and it's back to the earlier type of search. Happy searching! |

Replying to: Sylvia (Aug 04, 2008 1:09 pm) I tried the search for "sylvia." Afterwards when I returned to this discussion, post #4109 had a user name of by Sylvia');" s_oc="null">Sylvia STAFF I have seen occasional odd characters added to post usernames. |

I often check the "Hybrid Cars Forums & Discussions". When I get to the page, it lists the posts at the bottom of the page in reverse chronological order (posts that have the most current date are listed first). The problem is that what I really want to see are the posts I have not read, not the ones in order of posting. As it stands now, there will be forums listed without the "NEW" maker, and then some without. Then when you go to page 2 or 3, there are some "NEW" marked posts. How about it - sort by "NEW" post instead of chronological?
