Slow process of stopping and starting discussion watching by jaxs1

It's pretty clunky to start or stop watching even one discussion. If you want to add or remove several it's really a pain. You have to click through too many pages and wait for each to load.

It would be much more user friendly if you could start and stop watching discussions with the same one click on a list view that's used to start and stop the e-mail alerts.

Why not have a check box that lets you select "stop watching" selected discussions from that same "My Watched Items" page?
The same could be done if you bring up a list of discussions from a search and then just check a box next to the ones you want to start watching.

I had several discussions I wanted to stop watching, but the only choices are to either go through the slow process of removing each one at a time through 3 or 4 pages of selections for each discussion or else stop all watching and then re-add the ones I want to continue watching through it's own multi-page process. Both are bad options.

"The reason that happens is because someone has posted a picture wider than the text area. This pushes the text on the entire page over to the right. The first few messages on the page get tangled up with the right sidebar. "

No, that is ONE reason it happens. The below forum has the text drifting off under the right hand adds, and there are no pictures involved. I use Firefox and CTRL + (twice) to get my text size up.

EDIT: After I posted this, the right margin of this forum slid under the adds!

Looking at the page source the tables are being set to 100% rather than a fixed value, maybe that has something to do with it. If the site is designed for a specific pixel width of the "content" column, perhaps it should be a set width instead of a percentage... just a thought

What's the exact forum to find this? Did a search and came up with squat.

The Dealer Reviews are not one of the Forums discussions - they're a separate section at Edmunds. Click here--> Dealer Ratings and Reviews

How do I get the "Reply" option to return? It has been next to the "Save" in the upper Right corner of the post.

Weird - Something is up again with some of the photos in my CarSpace page. (similar issue was noted in a previous post). A good chunk of the photos that were there show up as the good ol' Red X. Not sure if it is something permanently screwed up or not, but was wondering if someone at the site could take a look at it (or point me in the right direction).

We are unable to figure out why the images are MIA. Whether they were never
created/saved right when uploaded, or they got deleted somehow (??),
unfortunately I can't really say. The odd thing is that the smaller thumbnails are there on the individual photo pages.

My best guess is if the photos were extremely large (MB each) then during the compression and saving the thumbnail was created but the large photo was not.

You can try deleting each of the images with the x and re-uploading.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks for taking a look at it Sylvia. The weird thing was they were fine for awhile (and the thumbnails have always worked). I'll blow out the ones that are failing and replace them. Again, thanks for taking a look at it. I appreciate it.

Ok, I've blown them out and re-uploaded the pictures. Looks ok right now. Hopefully will hold this time
