As far as why, the information in the post is far more important than statistics about the poster isn't it? Especially since those stats are easily found without taking up space on the page. Just an FYI, you don't have to click on the username for that info, just mouseover the username and that info pops up in a little balloon.

When this happens (& it has several times over the past year or so), it comes and goes. It came this morning & (perhaps) it went. Perhaps not.

and strobing S****n ads have never gone away and although they're slightly more subtle, I hate them just as much. Not only is it limiting my Edmunds experience but it has made me dislike their products.

Happened again today. Hit edmunds.com and I'm greeted by name Click Community and my Toolbox doesn't show; I'm asked for a Login and PSWD I click away and go to another place (like horrors: ask the community), then I come back to Forums via the Community and I'm recognized. I guess I feel "special".
