If not, we will investigate further. Authentication - 'clearly logged in' - if you could help define this, that would be great. The Welcome in the upper right corner is a name cookie and not an authentication cookie. When you click community on Edmunds.com and land at CarSpace - do you see the login fields on the right or are you logged in and do you see a My CarSpace in the secondary nav on the far left under the tabs in the header? My CarSpace will only appear if you are logged in and the sign-in fields should not be present (and when you are clicking on Community from Edmunds.com are you coming back with the remember me/autologin cookie on?) If you are truly logged in and get to the Forums page and do not see the My Tracked Items box and no My CarSpace in the secondary nav - yes, definitely want to know about that We are revising authentication between Edmunds.com=CarSpace.com in mid-March so if anything, these 'drops' should disappear by 3/20. But do keep sending the details info as you have it as it helps with the testing and prep. Thanks! Sylvia

| The discussion titled "Article Comments - 2007 Ford Mondeo First Drive" has 21 posts in it. If you read the first page, posts 1 - 20, the "Messages Page n of m" area at the bottom does not allow navigation to the next page, instead it says "all messages displayed". I only realised there was a post 21 because post 20 had a reply and so a link to the reply post was visible. Looks like one of those boundary conditions which wasn't tested properly. | |

Replying to: Sylvia (Mar 03, 2008 3:55 pm) It seems to come only after a shut down on my laptop instead of sleep or hibernate mode. I have another bookmark starting me at insider.com and it works like advertised. IE 6, XP mediacenter. Should I just forget the Carspace bookmark and use the Insider? |

The wrong icon loads for the Cancel button if I choose "Remove Watch" at the top of a forum. I get a button "OK" and one that says "Remove Watch." But actually the "Remove Watch" is a "Cancel" button. Rollover says "Cancel." The button is http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/12h/www.edmunds.com/media/townhall/webxicons/- cancel.gif If I select "Change Watching" at the bottom of a forum page I go to a choice of three buttons, "Read New Posts," "Remove Watch," and "My Watched Items." There the "Remove Watch button is linked to this icon, http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/12h/www.edmunds.com/media/townhall/webxicons/- cancelsb.gif. Clicking on that "Remove Watch" button takes me to the two choices in the first paragraph with the Cancel button that's calling up a "Remove Watch" labelled button. |

Reposted from "Lost" per kcram... It seems lately that my Edmunds posts are moving slower than ever...I have upgraded my DSL to 3.0, and everything, but everything moves at whirlwind speed...EXCEPT EDMUNDS... I can click on a topic, and it takes forever to get there...I can post to a topic and it seems to just stop in time and take forever to post... Since I don't know much about computers (and even less about law!!!... Anything happening at your end, like software updates or server updates, since I updated at my end...

Replying to: marsha7 (Mar 09, 2008 2:55 pm) We are seeing a specific crash wiping out a server every so often and it piles the request onto the other machines. We have the fix in the lab and beating it up relentlessly so that we can get it out and improve the page load time. |
