Happened today. I shutdown computer and restarted and this is my linked page from bookmarks
...carspace.com/csgroups

This is my page

link title

If I go to Home in the bar, I get recognized user name and the SignOut button only. The SignIn button is gone. Then when I come back to Carspace using the topmost link above the graphics, I have the normal page with "Read News Posts, Watched Items, etc."

Are you in IE6? We discovered an issue late Thursday evening after our production release that updated the header section across CarSpace and Forums that makes IE6 unhappy. We have a fix for it as of late last night / early this morning and it will go in on Tuesday if not before.

You should be able to login or be logged in once you hit the non-carspace.com forums page (e.g. a townhall-talk.edmunds.com page)

Okay, so why would a button with such annoying implications as "remove all tracking" not have a safeguard?

Yep, you caught me Frank. I meant to click "Catch Up" and missed. Still seems that something like removing the tracking on every single thread should have a backup screen.... like "WTF?! Are you sure?"

timestamps on posts by sysop STAFF

Some of you may have noticed certain timestamps on posts being incorrect. NTP on one of the servers died and the clock had lagged actual time. This is fixed. Thanks for reporting it!

I was trying to access Car Space (www.carspace.com) a few minutes ago (literally, about three), and it was loading, and reloading, and reloading, and reloading....

Next time try shutting your browser down (IE I'm guessing) and then go back to your CarSpace link. That's happened to me a few times lately, along with some spontaneous closing of my browser just in general (I lost a brilliant post that way today ). I don't dump cookies or the cache, but restarting IE lets CarSpace load. I can open it fine in Firefox when IE hangs on me. Go figure.

No, it is Firefox. I expect it could be the browser, since it is up/open for days or weeks at a time with at least 12 tabs at any given time. But, since I am not ready to lose my tabs just yet, Car Space will have to wait a couple weeks.
