#606 of 6720 Valueguy and bose

Founded in 1975 by Dr. William Bailey.
I have been useing duragloss since 1988 and love the product. The interior products are great and my old s class stayed new looking for 11 years.
A full range of high quality products. I remember having a question and got to speak to the Dr., I like accesabilty, and because of that I am a loyal customer, and the stuff works.
Bose: I thought the bose was great till I spent a few days in an 1998 S500. A better bose with bigger speakers and four woofers in back deck! I think the stereo works extremely well. Sound is a personal choice. Aftermarket sounds are not integrated but with powerful components have an "in your face" type sound. THe bose is ambient in that it fills the car with non-directional sound. Aftermarket: you know where its comming from. THose that spend 2-5k to upgrade sound is going to tout the benefits because they just spent the jack. THis is my personal opinion. Preffered sound is a personal opinion and there is no right or wrong, if you like it, great. I am not familiar with lexus stereo choices, but I would never let it determine my auto choice. Int he old days, benz made great cars with bad sounding stereos!

Press the training button on your garage opener. Then go back to your car and press one of the 3 homelink buttons and let go. Then press it again and let go again. This should work now. You may have to repeat these steps 2 or 3 times if the initial does not work. The MB manual say this as well. I had to do the 3rd time before mine worked. very easy to do. You do not need to hold up the transmitter to your rearview mirror and press both buttons at once. That won't work with rolling code openers.

Dec 06, 2000 (8:19 am)
Just received my first shipment of Zymol for my 01
Porsche. Using something called Zymol Carbon for dark colors. They also have a product for light colors.
Also ordered Lexol for the interior.
I will give you an update on the results.
Autosupermart will match any Web price just provide them with the link. My zymol was $27.
A friend of mine is tring the flavor that is $120.
Seemed a big jump for a former Meguires user.
Best regards to all.
#610 of 6720 Teleaid renewal: Yes or No?
Jan 04, 2001 (2:50 am)
It's now time for me to decide whether or not to renew the teleaid. I have never used it, but they, MB, said if I deactivate it, everything will be deactivated, even SOS.
So I just wanted to know what other people's opinions were concerning the teleaid and if they will be renewing it or not.
Thanks for the input.
#611 of 6720 tele aid renewal

i just returned the renewal form for teleaid with cancel written across it. i think the $205 fee is about $100 too high for the service. everyone seems to have a cell phone if you are really in a jam, and the problems i've had with getting the teleaid service to work properly and be able to understand the person on the other end doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the service. roger

I cancelled mine already. I thought it was a waste of money since the annual fee is only for the service and you would have to pay for your airtime when connected. I am betting on others with cell phones to call for help if I crash my car into a pole or something.

All this great stuff to wax car.........problem is: Its cold! Have yet to polish car. Dura gloss has a prep that need go on to prolong. But the real question I will ask: Does anyone use a car wash? A good mind you. In years past I never took my old s class to one, having very young children, and more time. I like washing myself, but right now the car is dirty, its 30 degrees outside, and I have brilliant silver. I have a friend with 00' denali in black, and uses car wash. so I ask the choir here, What do you do when you cannot wash by hand??? Hey, it a question and its non-zaino related.

I have been using touch-free (brushless) car wash or hand-wash for years with no problems. No car wash will cause more damage than highway stone chips, calcium chloride or glass powder. (They now use this last after heaving snow/ice storms in certain areas).
