Take the $16K. I only got $16,200 last month when we traded our 98L w/ 32k miles on it. Also, remember that the trade in value is usually subtracted from the selling price when it comes to figuring out the tax. Here in Conn. the sales tax is 6%, so my trade was worth another $972 in tax money to me. The highest trade in value I was offered was 16.4k by an Acura dealer. The lowest was $14.5k by another Infiniti dealer and another Acura dealer. BTW, here in southern Conn. 1998 I30s with 20-30k miles are going for 18,995 (on the window). Good luck. |

When is the new model with bigger engine coming out? Will this compete with the C series MB and the BMW 3 series... Is Infiniti using CD rom instead of DVD on navagation system...they should use DVD? |
|
| Hi all, thanks for the responses. I just priced mine out on kbb.com and i got 19,170 (has the touring package, spoiler and premium wheels). Thats how I figured 19K, and this is a private sell. I would definately take 16K for it as a trade in. The only reason I would trade my car in for a 99+ vehicle is to acquire the updates Nissan has made (move from noisey vaccuum BPT and EGR assembly to quiet electronic assembly, updates in stereo, rear sunshade on '00-01, etc.), but I dont know if this would be worth the 10-12K difference. I also looked at the TL type S, and that comes out to a similar price as the I30 with touring and some of the extra things on there...but I dont think I want two TL's! Hmmmm...still thinking about it... | |

TGIF888 - How does the dash kit look? Is it an exact match with the existing piece around the gear shift? Can you tell who the manufacturer of the kit was? Jaki30 - Which kit did you purchase? I purchased the one for the 2000 I30 without NAV from ebay. I am not satisfied with the match. It only matches in color, not in wood grain. The ebay purchase looks more like real wood than the existing pieces. Needless to say, I haven't installed it yet. |
|
| Yes, exact match. I don't know whose the manufacture was. Let me ask my dealer and let you know. | |

| Neither of the 2 I30 models seem to offer even front mud flaps as standard equipment. Has anyone purchased dealer-installed mud flaps? Do they look like the ones on the Maxima? Another oddity is that Infiniti does not offer chrome exhaust tip as a dealer-installed option. | |
| Thanks. I would like that info. Are you happy with the installation (appearance, ect.)? Is there a glare from the pieces on the dash? Would you be able to post a picture? | |
| Yes. The installation is good, the craftmanship is very professional. Well, I didn't see any glare from teh pieces yet. let me see can I get a digital camera and post the picture. | |

It is kit WD 311A. The company is from Florida. I just laid out some pieces against the ones in the car. The color looks like it matches fine. The kit may have a more realistic grain than that which came with the car. I laid out the console, radio and a/c control panels. Since they do not butt up against any exisiting pieces, it is hard to tell if there is a difference. I got the kit for a minimal bid andI think it will look fine. I do not intend to install all the pieces. I can't see putting the wood grain on the rear of the console, the glass case, around the door pulls or the air vents. I hope to install it this week if it gets a little warmer here in Ct. canadiancl: I got the splash guards. They are fiberglass and molded to fit the car. Personally, I think they are worth the money since they are also the color of the car. |
