Hello everybody. I have decided to buy a 1998 I30. I saw this car at a local infinity dealer and I really liked it. It is a black I30 STD w/leather interior, moonroof, bose system/cd player. It is certified and has only 25k miles. what is the reasonable price for this car. Is 21k max or too much. I would really appreciate any pice suggestions. thanks a bunch.. jkr |

| Hmm, the KBB said private party sale of this vehicle worth $18415 for good condition. | |
| Since it is a dealer and certified, is it reasonable to say 20k, take it or leave it. | |
| I'm from jersey also. Would you mind telling me what dealer you got your quote from? | |
| Folks who live in New Jersey, could you please share you experience(s) with Ray Catena. I will be buying a 1998 I30 from them within a week. thanks.. | |

Traded in my 2000 I-30L for a 2001 I-30L. Had 28K miles. Got 19K for the trade. Bet I could have sold it on the private market for more. Who knows, didn't have the time. Car was in great condition and was the Titanium color. I really like the 2001 better,(like the compass, got 6 disc changer and the mud guards.) The power windows seem less jerky, and the steering wheel radio controls are great. I could have waited for the 02, but got a great price and the bigger engine I can live without. I'll wait to see what the 04 offers....... |

Sure. Offer him $20,000. If it looks like you'll lose the sale, though you may want to come up a little. I bought my I30t 1999 5-speed from a dealer and paid a little more. I think it was worth it. I really like the 99 (and the 98) better than the 2000 and 2001 I30's. Either way they're great cars! Don't lose this one. Bob |

| I recently purchased a 2001 I30L. The salesman told me that some cars have an In-Dash CD changer and some don't, but the car that I was purchasing did. Is there some trick to using it? Don't you just feed all CD right into it without pushing any buttons. I think it must not really have the changer. | |
| I wasn't aware that the in-dash multi-disc CD changer was available AT ALL in the 2001, although 2002 should be different. Try the owner's manual; it should discuss all the various options on your car. If that's not enough, contact the Infiniti people on thir toll-free number, and they should be more forthcoming. | |

I'm from Midwest... bought mine from Infiniti of Lisle in IL. Location shouldn't matter, VPP pricing is a formula. Have you received the form from Nissan yet? It shows the calculation right on it. The only variable from dealer to dealer or region to region should be marketing/advert fees and any fees your dealership charges for document processing. And of course sales tax, license plate, and title fees. The dealer IS REQUIRED to show you his invoice as part of the VPP Program. You can take the numbers right off of it and plug them into the form to come up with the pricing yourself. |
