Sure Does!!! Thanks for the great news! I too dislike driving a car that has been redesigned.

For me, it all depends. There are certainly plenty of vehicles out there where an older design is better looking than a newer one.

Well, I just had to do this.... the E 39 rules. And, ironically, I got my E39 in 2003 (last year of production), knowing that the redesign was coming. Some cars are just timeless.
I felt the same way about the older Jag XJ6...

mmoreno1978,
FWIW, my experience ordering a 535Xi is the sport package per se does not include the style 124 wheels. They are an additional option, if you also get the sport package.
Thanks

Me too! And I drove the 2004 e60 in Germany prior to the US launch. Still loving my '03 e39 530SP. Has been a flawless ownership experience to date...

Does the 550 have the guzzler tax? I didn't think so but in the Edmunds video review of an 06, they say it does?
Also, has the engine been re-tuned for a quicker 0-60 time?

Oddly enough, the guzzler tax is charged only on the manual equipped 550i.

Not a big fan of the standard rims, but they're easier to clean. To just add other rims, there's no cost differential to change them. Essentially you'll get the originals + the new ones and the costs involved. I'd check EBay b/c there are alot of folks out there who remove whatever rims are stock and replace them w/custom. My neighbor has a M5, replaced the stock rims w/some customs at 10k for the set. The higher end BMW, the more you'll see customs swapped for originals and the longer a wheel style is out, the more available.

Does the manual get worse mileage than the auto?
