I understand what you are saying about location, but that is about $2000 high for the Tampa area.

Compare them yourself. The exclaimation marks for MM in 95 and 96 are for spark plug wires. About a $100 part, and easily changed. That problem no longer exists.
The April issue of Consumer Reports calls the reliability of the MM "outstanding".
These are both highly reliable cars, so pick the one you prefer and enjoy it for years to come.
click on the Millenia it is a different story. The resale value is probably better than most other new cars a year or two later.
Consumer Reports has to deal nationally and this pricing is very regional. For instance I could not get my 2001 P for anywhere near the price I paid in south Jersey. It was the best 1 hour drive I have ever made. I saved ~ $1800. Imagine how bad the situation is in some parts of the country where there are few dealers.
