comparing similar hierarchy models, it seemed the Honda had a more refined interior (some of the Camry's dash trim was downright cheap). The Honda also had a "firmer" feel than the Camry (firmer seats, more robust lumbar support, etc.). Whatever....both Honda and Camry sell very well. |

Driving the Accord is like riding a touring bike, with a wooden seat, over rough roads!! You can feel every bump, bounce and shake. Handling qualities in both Camry and Accord are not much to brag about, since they are both FWD. Camry's seats are much softer, more cushiony, more comfortable, with just the right amount of back support. The Camry's ride is much quieter and smoother, more like luxury cars. In fact the Camry's ride quality comes pretty close to the top Lexus sedans. It just has more chassis twisting and body rolling in hard maneuvers, things that are barely perceptible to experienced drivers, whereas the Lexus always feels rock solid. Unless you are familiar with the ride qualities of luxury and high-performance cars, you would never be able to discern the Camry's ride quality compared to the Accord's. Drivers should feel more tranquil and less fatigue in a Camry, especially on long trips, for women, children and older people. As Camry and Accord are roughly equivalent in prices, features, performance and reliability, I would favor the Camry to reduce the amount of wear and tear on the bodies and minds of drivers and riders, especially during the long hours of commute or long road trips. After all you want the car to work for you, not you working for the car! For fun and excitement, I have plenty of computer games, some far more exciting and challenging than taking the risks of tearing up roads and terrorizing traffic with my car everyday, as a few Accord drivers think they should. Test drive all expensive luxury cars, Lexus, Acura, MB, BMW...before buying your next cars. The guys at Jim Falk's Bevery Hills Lexus will give you a free wild ride that would proves the worth of luxury cars. No, I don't work for Toyota!

Fortunately, both the Camry and Accord are excellent cars with respect to reliability and resale value. With respect to seats, the leather seats in the Accord are about the best available IMO....Richard

For $1000 more than the LE, it has stiffer suspension tuned for sporty rides, quicker steering, sway bars front and rear, 4-wheel dis brakes, 16" tires, moonroof and a bunch of other standard features. You can also order the GU option which combine the Veh Stability Control and all side airbags for another $1000. Accord does not even have Stability Control option. The SE is the best buy for Camry.
