| I owned a '96 Camry V6 LE. My sister-in-law has a '98 Camry V6 LE which I drive occasionally. Both drive like a boat. That's why I'm a proud owner of a '04 Accord EX V6. My Camry wasn't nearly bullet proof. Things started to break after 5-6 years. | |

It occurred to me this morning that I have so many Camry owners to thank for the great price I got on my 2005 V6 Accord. If the Camry weren't so popular (along with the Altima, Mazda 6 and Chevy Malibu), demand for the Accord would have had me paying near MSRP for my car. Likewise, my buying an Accord helped save you some money on buying your Camrys. Funny how that works, isn't it? |

Replying to: lmkwin (Jan 11, 2005 6:46 pm) "the key on the accord is huge." The key fob on the Accord is one of the features I love. I don't need to carry a keyring. It also lets me roll down all windows from a distance, in summer to cool down the interior "mileage on the 05 camry is better than the 03 accord" The 4 cyl Accord is rated higher than the 4 cyl Camry, similar for the V6s. "the cup holders are better in the camry" IMHO, the cup holders in the Accord are far better, as they are spring loaded and will hold any size cup tightly and without vibrations. "the arm rest is bigger and more accessible to driver/passenger sharing it" The armrest in the Accord is far better, it slides out towards the console, so that you can easily rest your arm on it. Try it. "the door locks are better. the accord has them on the top of the door. riding with your elbow on the window sill puts that button right in your elbow" I don't think you every kept your elbow on an Accord windowsill, because you would never, never touch the button with your elbow, its so far back. Again, try it. Auto door locks is a good feature on the Camry, so is the larger trunk. I have folded down the seat ( love the seat being lockable, makes a very secure trunk) and never had a problem with what you call a 'mega' key. Some of the other features I like in the Accord are the ride, seats, interior (IMO better quality plastics), the great gas mileage and the looks from the front. The rear is okay, but I don't hate it as many others do.

Oh yeah???? Well....I don't like the shade of silver Honda chose for the Accord. It's too blue, like an old lady's hairdo. |

IMO, auto door locks is nice feature, however, I would think it has its downside. It is great feature to prevent carjackers. What would happen if a person is locked in a crash?

Personally, I never drive with my left arm hanging out the window but, if I did, my Accord's door lock button would be in the way and I'm only 6'1". Anyway, I too like the Accord's ignition key. Vastly preferable to having a separate keyfob and yet much smaller than the oversized VW "switchblade" style keys. |

"You can crash any car with its doors locked?" Yes it might, but I usually would not lock the door, unless i see "strangers" are walking toward my direction, I will unlock right after i get away from them Does the TOYOTA CAMRY auto-lock is able to auto unlock during/after the accident? Oh... that's too bad Your thoughts are logical, but that's does not mean my driving-habit is not valid... It is great to correct someone's mistake! Here is an open-mind discussion forum! It would be great that everyone shares thoughts and ideas freely, without being criticized! |
