99 GM-LS with 94K. Own since new. Every time the brakes are applied, a groaning or "swooshing" noise comes from the brake pedal under the dash. Groan is louder when brakes are warm. Pedal also has a pulsating feel (with the groaning) with harder braking. At red lights stops, car would start to creep and require to push brake pedal harder to stop the creeping.   What is causing the groaning or swooshing noise, the slow creeping, and the pulsating feel of the brake pedal? Replying to: joe3716 (Oct 01, 2008 1:10 pm) the noise sounds like the boot is rubbing on something. The rest of the symptoms sound like your master cylinder may be going soft.

Engine stops while driving - No warning, no check engine light. Will crank, but not start immediately, but will after about 30 seconds, and runs "normally". Garage found fuel pump with high amp draw. Replaced pump and filter. No fault codes present. Engine quit while driving in traffic (moving 70 MPH) and saw eng. temp light flash - no other cluster lights seen. Had driven about 400 miles continuously prior to event. Today, engine stopped as I started to accelerate to merge into traffic. As I let up on gas the engine came back and ran normally for rest of 12 mile trip. Anybody else had same problem?. I am soon to leave on a 1000 mile trip and need to solve this safety problem before I go . Any ideas on problem cause? Replying to: rod73 (Oct 03, 2008 7:16 am) i had similar stalling problems with my 99 GM LS. had a new fuel pump at a dealer and stalling continued on and off till i had the car towed in and had the "Idle Air Control Valve"replaced.   Check this out and hope the control valve is the problem. My concern is that 1; no fault codes come up; 2 It usually happens at highway speeds, and 3, It will not restart for about 30 seconds, then starts and runs normally. Replying to: rod73 (Oct 03, 2008 5:46 pm) A bad fuel pump will usually not turn on a check engine light or throw a code. And they're famous for failing intermittantly.

Replying to: jett3101 (Nov 06, 2008 11:37 pm) Tell more about the car. Miles on it. How it is driven = city or highway, Brand of gas. What components have been replaced in the ignition and exhaust system.   Without knowing more about your car, my wild guess would be to replace the CATS.
