High End Luxury Cars

You are in the Sedans Forum. Your Hosts are pat & karens
Let's try to define this forum as being limited to luxury performance vehicles where the mainstream version in a typical configuration has an MSRP of at least $60k.
A luxury vehicle with a base price of $59k qualifies because it would typically be bought with some additional equipment, bringing the MSRP over $60k.
Vehicles like the E, 5, A6, M, or GS, even if available in certain versions over $60k, don't qualify because they are cars from companies that have higher end cars in their lineups.

While Nostradamus can predict natural catastrophies centuries ahead in the future I can predict with 20/20 vision MB S Class convertibles and MB/E Sales figures six months in the future. My crystal ball has never failed me yet.

The article linked below (sorry it's in French) describes the increased prevalence of Ferarri accidents worldwide (some of them fatal). What will the future be like when mainstream performance/sport cars drive like ENZOs. A scary thought indeed. I did not post some of the ENZO accident pictures linked below because they are quite disturbing. http://www.leblogauto.com/2006/12/encore-une-ferrari-crashee.html

I couldn't care less about exclusivity. If Honda can produce RWD cars like the BMWs I own right now then I would buy Hondas instead ( I can live without the more exclusive Acura marque).

I guess we'll all know whats what in a few hours. I mean how will a S-Class convertible look? Will it uphold Mercedes legendary convertible solidity standards? So many things have to be right for such a model to work, IMO. Then again I could be worried for no reason, it could be the most stunning Mercedes in years. M |
