High End Luxury Cars

You are in the Sedans Forum. Your Hosts are pat & karens
Let's try to define this forum as being limited to luxury performance vehicles where the mainstream version in a typical configuration has an MSRP of at least $60k.
A luxury vehicle with a base price of $59k qualifies because it would typically be bought with some additional equipment, bringing the MSRP over $60k.
Vehicles like the E, 5, A6, M, or GS, even if available in certain versions over $60k, don't qualify because they are cars from companies that have higher end cars in their lineups.

They do measure two different things. But there is one thing in the AP"E"AL, and that is execution. On the very site it says that the execution "includes" structure, continuous reliability, so-on and so-on. How on God's green Earth is the execution 100% yet reliability and "ease of use" suck badly? Please do a better job of persuasion as the current montra is getting old....... Doc, you've passed your blurred(or selective, whichever works) vision off onto everyone who participates on this thread, and hence the huge Ball of Confusion.

37% decrease in July sales. OUCH! I must say though that I find the guy so likable. But the spots aren't working.

No one here is under the impression or illusion that smart business doesn't sell cars. The key is to satisfy both sides to a degree like Porsche or BMW does. They both make money and they push all the right buttons with car nuts, especially Porsche. There is no reason why every car company can't do this. This whole thing about "business" only gets shot down when it is implied that Toyota's way of doing things is the only way, i.e. making a ton of money but all dullard cars. There is nothing wrong with making some true enthusiast cars while turning a profit, something Toyota/Lexus folks don't seem to want to admit. M
