#1406 of 1520 2003 Buick LeSabre Limited AC Not Working
Nov 16, 2007 (9:05 am)
My AC is not blowing cold on my 2003 Buick LeSabre Limited. It was intermittent about 1 month ago and now has just stopped all together. Also, the blue light on the temp dash control is now out but the red light still works. Further, the lights on the dash fan control now don't work either. Could it be a bad electronic dash AC control panel or a freon leak? Any ideas? Thanks.
#1407 of 1520 94 buick LeSabre instrument lights

Good news in a way. The instrument light problem was a blown fuse (found by easter-egging) now they work. The Cruise light still doesn't but, hopefully, is another blown fuse - now to find it. Suggestion: go to your friendly auto zone and get a pack of 10, 15 and 20 amp mini-fuses and put 'em in the trunk.

Thanks, mariannesam. That did the trick. Kind of a hokey setup for the rear air. I think I will be "fixing" this problem quite often.
Otherwise, great car (except for the cup holders, which are terrible)
#1409 of 1520 Security light stays on a little while after starting
Nov 27, 2007 (6:57 pm)
This morning the word "Security" light on the panel stayed on after I started and drove my 1998 Buick Lesabre a little ways. Why? What does that mean? It drives so good, it has about 90,000 miles on it. I love my Buick but I'm concerned about this Security Light.

Driver side is the only windowo working!
The rear windows work only after the car has been going at a significant speed for a while.
The Passengers side works only when car is moving (doesn't have to be going fast)and you jiggle the buttons on the driver's side and the passenger does the same!
What a riot, right? The poassenger window was the first one to start acting up! Do you know if this is a master switch problem, or what? I can't figure it out.
Thanks to all

#1412 of 1520 2002 LeSabre blower motor

Any hints on removing the blower motor? Discussions with the dealer service manager points to bad brushes, but I'm having a hard time removing the thing. Any help appreciated!

Try this link: Remove Heater Blower 2003
It's apparently fairly easy. It's done inside the car. I believe I recall someone takng their blower apart and finding contacts inside not touching and adjusting the wires or something and the thing worked again. He was an engineer, and like me, he's not afraid to take things apart.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately the LeSabre has dual climate control and is vastly different from that depicted in the link.
I thought I had it but there must be one more screw hidden somewhere...
Thanks for the input!

The 03 service manual doesn't make a distinction between the standard air conditioning and the dual electronic control as far as how the heater blower comes out. It's my understanding 00-05 or 05 when the last were produced were all the same car.
