I had a 2004 grand am V6 and i got 30 MPH out of it.
It had 75000 miles on it had NO problems out of it
    I liked that car.
BUT going to work one morning at 3:30 AM I just got on the X-way
got up to 70mph and a drunk driver hit me in the driver side rear tire
and rould the car 3x and landed upside down.
  and walked away from it.

Front End Problem by janeoliver08

Have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. Whenevr turning the car to the left, it makes a loud clunking noise like it is straining to turn. No difficulty steering or handling. Does not do when turning to the right. Quite a loud noise too. Almost like when pulling a cable to tight. Any thoughts on what the problem may be?

1993 Grand AM by marriedmanw

Hello, I have a problem I hope you can assist with diagnosing. I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand AM 2.3L Quad 4 that is making a ticking noise during idle. This is the only time the noise is heard. The unusual thing is the noise will go away if I slightly turn the wheel.
It first sounded like a lifter stuck but I don't believe that is the case since I can drive the car 30 minutes to work and at idle it's still ticking. I recently have replaced the motor mount, timing chain and guides, and water pump. I don't believe that the noise is coming from the timing chain area.
I think the noise is the power steering pump failing since the noise goes away when pressure is on system. I replaced the rack about 3 years ago.
What's your thoughts?

Thanks,
Michael

I just had the radiator replaced along with the heater hoses and the mechanic said that the water pump was going bad. I got a new pump so thay say it's a relatively easy job to do, I just paid over $500 for the radiator repair so we are going to takle this ourselves. Is it as easy as it seems?

The samething happend to me. I have a 99 P.O.S.It seemed to happen everytime I tried to start it when I had problems starting it. I found out it was the battery that was going dead.Weird and funny at the sametime.)
