I happened to be at a Toyota dealer today, on the used car lot. While waiting for the salesguy to go find a car, I looked at what they had. Mostly relatively normal looking prices (for a dealer) on middle-aged Yotas. But, they also had a nice looking Imprezza.

2010, dark blue, AT, moonroof, cloth seats. Not sure miles, but maybe 30? Nothing I recall being high.

except the price. "no need to haggle" tag of $16,995. 17K for a 3 YO preza? How much more could it cost to get a comparable one brand new?

OK, I have given up on the r-title 330, and I have moved on to other local deals on the same car.... can you tell me if either of these sounds like a reasonable price?: (Pittsburgh, PA area)

2002: 330xi, Silver, 146K, Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, Xenon, 1 owner, all records, brand new tires and inspection, garage kept at home and at work. Everything perfect except a few small rust bubbles along the back wheel wells. Seller asking $7,500 firm

2004: 330xi, Black, 85K, Same options, Black BMW wheels, 3rd owner with clean carfax, perfect condition. Seller asking $14,500.

Thanks!

In the dictionary, next to the definition of "torque steer", there is a picture of a Saab 9-3 Viggen...

Subarus just get absolutely silly money on the used market. That 2010 Impreza you saw probably stickered somewhere just under $21K and probably drove away right around 20. The 2012 Impreza Premiums with a moonroof and CVT stickered in the 22s.

Okay I hate to ask you this...but I am stuck on this one vehicle in particular. Looking to trade in my 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited van on a 2011 Ford Explorer Limited. It has 28,000 miles on it, and the internet "asking price" is around 31,000. It is loaded, but doesn't have DVD or a moonroof. I don't know if that is a good deal. Also, it is nearing the end of the month, and the year. Wouldn't the dealer want to get rid of it, since they've had it since early September?! I need to know your opinion, please.

They are trading for a bit north of $28k, so it seems they are already being pretty aggressive at $31k. Lack of moonroof and DVD on a Limited is probably why its still sitting there. They may be willing to cut it loose for $30k, but I wouldn't count on it.

How do you know how long they've had it?

I looked on the carfax report and it states when the dealer acquired it. I know that whomever owned it traded it in for a maxima. He did tell me yesterday that he would go down to 30,900. I still feel as if Torres a better deal elsewhere to be made.

Yeah I have decided that the Explorer is a no go. Thank you for all of your helpful information. I truly appreciate it! I, however today found my future SUV. I will hold out for a new Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. Drove one today and LOVE it! Again, thanks!

Options: Premium Package
Miles: 3963

Asking: $33,974

This appears to be a Service Loaner Vehicle now offered for sale. I don't know where to start on these sorts of vehicles in regards to value. I am aware of course that this is a used car. KBB retail says $40K, but that is what the sticker was for this car.

Here is a link to the listing:

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

looks nice. and low miles. 6K off sticker is a decent amount, though probably not much less than you could have gotten it for new as a leftover (I assume the 12's are gone by now? If not, a good way to go).

from the carfax, it has only been in service for less than 6 months, so plenty of warranty left.
