Researched value of my car online (KBB, Edmunds, NADA) and found consistent trade-in value of approx. $20-21K. Trade-in offers have ranged from $16-18K from dealers. I'm puzzled at the large disparity. Have read some articles online about auction value and such, but still challenged by the seemingly low trade-in value compared to research.
Vehicle:
2008 BMW 335xi coupe (alpine white, tan interior)
CPO
Miles -77,500
Condition - excellent inside and out
Options/Packages:
Premium, Sport, Cold weather, Nav, Automatic w/paddles
I would welcome some insight and or opinions on the difference or value of the car. Thanks.

Unfortunately, CPO means nothing when trading it in .... unless you trade to a bmw dealer.
You have all the right equipment. Color combo is strong. You didn't tell me where you live, though. Cold weather and AWD make a strong case in the snowbelt, but do very little in the sunbelt.
assuming you are where those things matter, I think some of the dealers are a little low. Your miles are quite high, which hurts, but I still think $18-$19k should be manageable if your car is as described.
There aren't many comparables to go on, however, and 1 of those was an 87k mile car off lease that hit $15,500 at the block. But there are 2 others with 67k and 71k miles that were $21,500 and $19,100. The lower-priced car was a black one in Dallas, which isn't a good combo. So, again, I'm feeling your car should be a bit stronger.

Thanks qbrozen. I am in the northeast, sorry for not pointing that out. Agreed on CPO meaning something only to BMW. I appreciate the feedback...helpful.

Hi,
Maybe you can help with a ballpark trade in on my 2001 Acura RL?
66K miles
Silver/Black Leather
All options except Navigation
Chrome Acura OEM wheels
HID lights
Bumpers have a little wear from NYC parking
Thanks in advance for the help.

This would really be a "ballpark" because I have no data to support an 11-year-old Acura with 66k miles. With 120k, it would be worth around $3500-$4k. So... I dunno... $5k-5500?
I'd certainly be selling this private party, though. Ask $7495 and see what happens.

Getting an itch for a new to me car. Wondering what these are going for?
2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
4wd
V6
about 30,000 miles
usual options including Nav
in Pittsburgh, PA
For some reason I like these. I just want something different than a Pilot which to me is the smarter but less exciting buy. Does anyone have any thoughts on these?

Floating right around $33k at the block. Is that a black one? If so, it might be the Summit model with 31,403 miles and sold for $32,900 back on Nov 9th.

Thanks. I love the interior but not the price.
