Curious what trade value of the following would be: 1998 BMW 323is coupe. 5-speed. Not sure of (or if) any other options besides the sunroof. Doesn't seem to have the sport seats, unfortunately. OH, its silver over black in NJ. I'm thinking trade is in the $3k neighborhood. What say the auctions? Thanks!

Location: Pittsburgh PA Year/Make/Model: 2005 Jeep Liberty Body Style: 4D SUV Engine: 4 Cyl Driveline: 4WD Mileage: 56,000 Color: Silver/grey Major Options: [alloys, sun roof, etc.] - Standard equip only (alloys, AM/FM CD, etc.) Condition: Pretty clean - kid carseat in back, but seat protected with cover. A few minor normal barely visible scuffs Tires - 20% worn Brakes - recent reline - work fine Maintenance - regular as scheduled Other: no accidents I realize the stick & 4-banger are two big strikes. KBB says $4500 trade-in and that's the offer from one dealer. should I push for more? Edmunds says $7500 (I know...)

i have a kind of vague value question for you, or maybe not, about a car that might or might not be for sale here in central ct. gen 3 vw jetta(92-98), assumptions are 96-98. guessing at to mileage to be 150k. maintenance up to date. i think it has sunroof and probably auto trans. what i do know: right now it is sitting in a parking space pretty much covered with snow. belongs to neighbor of my mother and was garaged until last year. in the garage is a nissan rogue. never had an accident as far as i know(about last ten years). titanium(somewhat yellow silver color), alloy wheels, always clean. 1 kid as a passenger a few years ago. 30 mile round trip commute to work. i am looking far a fair price for both of us. if there is some other info that would be a big factor, let me know. TIA.

Also what's the difference between wholesale and retail price on this car so I can negotiate better. Thanks.
