Sorry, but I don't have the car yet- I am looking for a Mercedes/Volvo station wagon- older- 1985ish. I need the engine to be in good shape, the body does not matter. I know it is hard to give an answer, but approximately how much would a car run? I would assume it to be one of the less expensive models. Local car dealer said around $600-$1,000. Replying to: volvomax (Jan 09, 2009 9:11 am) Whoa. I figured not too high, but that's even quite a bit lower than a friend with an '08 LTZ and 5k miles just got out of his at $18k. Better to think about such a low ball in the first place, and lower reality a bit anyway I guess. The same car "new" would be around $22.5k or so now with discounts, so 2500 miles I figured would drop it high teens. But, alas, it depends on the dealer, area, and specific case, as always. Tires have only 5000 miles on them Brakes 50% worn Maintenance current(5K mile synthetic oil changes + all Mazda recommended service) The Purchase: 2003 BMW 540i 4-Door Sedan 4.0 Liter V8/Six Speed Manual RWD 75,000 miles Topaz(medium) Blue Metallic /Gray Leather Premium Package, Sport Package, Cold Weather Package(heated seats, headlamp washers, ski pass-through), xenons, aftermarket(Borbet- an excellent brand) wheels.
