fyi, fitzmall has another '01 T5 with 85K on it. Looks nice (blue over tan). Even better, they have a 2005 Saabaru 9.2x. Black, with a 5 speed. Believe it is the non-turbo model. Only about 10K IIRC, with 65K clicks on the odo. That seems like it should be a nice little auto-x rat mobile.

Need some real world trade in figures on this new-new Malibu, with 2500 miles. Love the car, really, but still miss the RWD and V8 of a last car...looking at used/certified 2008/2009 Pontiac G8 GT's as a potential trade. Location: Southern Delaware Year/Make/Model: 2009 Chevy Malibu 2LT V6 Body Style: 4-door sedan Engine: 3.6L/6-speed auto with TapShift Driveline: FWD Mileage: 2550 Color: Summit White/Cocoa-Cashmere UltraLux suede Major Options: HF V6 package, power sunroof, premium mats & net, rear power package & window shade Condition: Basically a new off the lot car, with no marks or wear and still strong "new" smell all over. Trade, guys, for a car that's otherwise just off the lot with 2500mi on it? |

Replying to: georgehughes35 (Jan 04, 2009 7:46 pm) That is a nice car, 2006 was a good year because it got some safety upgrades that boosted the side impact scores significantly from 2005. It's only 2-3 years old and Subies hold their value. I was just in the Impreza threads and lease residuals for a 3 year lease were close to 60%. Those were $25k or so new, and 60% of that is $15,000, right on target with Volvomax's wholesale estimate. That would be with 36k miles, though. The price is fair, not low, but fair. Having said that...does he really need to have a Limited? Because he can find a brand new Legacy SE (Special Edition) with most of that equipment for a little over $20k, so he may want to consider a new SE model. Those are a great value. The Limited package adds leather, seat heaters, wiper de-icers, heated mirrors, and a 6CD changer. But give that up and you get a car 3 years newer for almost the same price. Basically what I'm saying is that the SE package is a better value than the Limited package. But if he insists on heated leather, we love our 2009 Forester Limited. |
