Hi, I was looking to buy the 2009 Chrysler sebring sedan - LX model.[base model]
The edmunds TMV is $20350. Carmax is listing them for 17k and above.Thats a huge difference. So is the edmunds TMV not updated ?And what price do I negotiate with dealer? Can I take print outs of the listings where it is selling for 17k?
Thanks.

They are about spot on on the Prius.
Man, those things have dropped a ton now that gas is reasonable again.

Wholesale on the Benz is $23,000 tops.
So, if they bought the car right, you should have a couple grand at least to negotiate with. Maybe more.

Because the closest carmax dealer is 400 miles away.If I have to purchase through them, then I would have to pay shipping plus I will be buying a new vehicle unseen.
Any suggestions?Thanks.

Carmax sells new cars?
I thought they just did used.
If they have an 09 Sebring, chances are it was a rental or something.
So, if you are looking at a Brand New 09 Sebring, their pricing won't help you.

Best bet for a new car is to contact the Internet Dept of the local dealers and ask for a quote.

i think carmax does sell new cars, although not at every location. they ship them to other carmax locations, either.
