Local dealer in San Diego says my mint 2008 Civic EX auto sedan with 7500 miles is only worth $13500 but Edmunds TMV says $17500,KBB say $18115,NADA $18175, so what gives. Why the difference?

Replying to: otto8 (Dec 03, 2008 11:54 pm) And why would there be a wait for parts, don't these essentially share most parts with the Civic? Hmmm... wait a sec... $1k brake jobs, long wait for parts, OH, now I get it, your buddy lives in Australia! Hey, that's what you get for buyin' one of them there foreign cars. Tell him that Holden makes an El Camino-like car.

I'm very surprised your Pilot needed rotors at 40,000 miles. Never heard of such a thing. And, no, I don't think Fits share many, if any parts with a Civic. Still, availability isn't a problem at all.

It was $244 just to turn the rotors and put on new pads (front only). On the other side of the coin, we have a local franchise called "Brakeway". For $99 they replace all 4 brakes, turn your rotors, and bleed your system... then they bleed your wallet with all the upselling.

2007 VW GTI. 4 door. Silver. moonroof/sat tunes package DSG tranny 18" wheel option (with summer tires, nice for a philly winter!) only 12K miles on it. Seems pretty clean overall. at a local new car (non-VW) dealer. what is a realistic price on this, considering it needs tires for the winter? |
