2007 or 2008 bmw x5 3.0 by mjfloyd1

I'm looking at several 07 and 08 bmw x5 3.0's and am trying to get an idea of a realistic price to pay.

Looking at white or black with tan leather, prem pkg, cold weather pkg, rear climate pkg, AT

07's I like have miles between 8K and 18K. Lower mileage one has tech pkg (nav and backup camera) ,sport pkg, keyless access, heated rear seats and sat radio.(alpine white)

18k mile 07 has sport, tech, prem, rear climate, (alpine white)

08 has 12k miles , black over tan, sport, prem, panorama roof, rear climate, cold pkg, power tailgate, ipod adaptor, running boards

None are cpo.

Also one cpo 07 black/tan 18.5k miles with prem, cold, rear climate, 3rd seat and park distance control.

Any idea of realistic buying #'s?

Thanks,
Mark

Why not trade out of an 07 CRV? The depreciation can't be that bad. I'll probably get $16500.00 on a trade when I paid 19300 out the door 18 months ago.

Volvomax's number was $16,000 on trade. So you're going to realize a $3,300 loss when you trade. Plus the price of the new ones have gove up about $2,000.....looks like invoice deal on an '09 is $21,500. So you'll have to cough up somewhere around $6,000 after taxes and such (assuming you're only taxed on the trade difference). Doesn't sounds like a deal to me for 18 months of ownership. Assuming the same depreciation rate as the '07, you'll lose $4,000 over the next 18 months if you wanted to trade again. Will your '07 lose that much in the next 18 months? Very unlikely. If you're worriied about possibly having to pay for repairs, it would make sense to go 36 months (warranty period). You only realize depreciation when you sell.

With the beating these vehicles have taken, I haven't been able to find a "great deal" in the nyc area.

Anyone know any wholesale dealers in the NYC area or where to find some??

Before you buy an FJ Cruiser, have you ever driven one and checked out the rear visability?

We have had TWO of these traded in because of the horrible blind spots they have!

Cool cars though...

Took a stab at answering your question in the XC90 forum already, though you didn't mention your location there. In the NE you could probably get that car for under $19K, but supply is more limited in the South so you'll pay some premium. I'd guess a fair bit less than $17K on trade, but Volvomax will certainly know.

With the equipment, Edmunds shows the TMV $24k. The SM said that the $21500 was $700 over their cost. On the surface it seems like a decent deal, this XC90 is much nicer than my 4 Runner.

Some of the equipment it has is: leather, power driver and passenger seats, heated driver and passenger seats, rear AC, 3rd row, cd changer, homelink and sunroof.
