I'm looking at several 07 and 08 bmw x5 3.0's and am trying to get an idea of a realistic price to pay. Looking at white or black with tan leather, prem pkg, cold weather pkg, rear climate pkg, AT 07's I like have miles between 8K and 18K. Lower mileage one has tech pkg (nav and backup camera) ,sport pkg, keyless access, heated rear seats and sat radio.(alpine white) 18k mile 07 has sport, tech, prem, rear climate, (alpine white) 08 has 12k miles , black over tan, sport, prem, panorama roof, rear climate, cold pkg, power tailgate, ipod adaptor, running boards None are cpo. Also one cpo 07 black/tan 18.5k miles with prem, cold, rear climate, 3rd seat and park distance control. Any idea of realistic buying #'s? Thanks, Mark

Plus the price of the new ones have gove up about $2,000.....looks like invoice deal on an '09 is $21,500. So you'll have to cough up somewhere around $6,000 after taxes and such (assuming you're only taxed on the trade difference). Doesn't sounds like a deal to me for 18 months of ownership. Assuming the same depreciation rate as the '07, you'll lose $4,000 over the next 18 months if you wanted to trade again. Will your '07 lose that much in the next 18 months? Very unlikely. If you're worriied about possibly having to pay for repairs, it would make sense to go 36 months (warranty period). You only realize depreciation when you sell. |
