Looking at trading it in but a month ago, the radio, which sounds excellent still, suddenly just had its LCD display go blurry. Numbers are garbled and overlap some. This after the check engine light showed up recently. I was so bummed out that getting it fixed might cost so much and not worth doing at all. If I do not get it fixed though, it would significantly reduced its trade-in value. Have you experienced this with your car? Thanks. BM |

The last time my check engine light came on, I took it in and it was the air fuel filter or something like that. An expensive fix, in my opinion. It could be something as simple as a loose gas cap, though. I'd take the recommendation of the other poster and take it somewhere where they will read the code for a small cost and then decide what to do. Good luck with your vehicle. Honestly, you can prob get another 100,000 miles out of it. It was just time for us to switch to a minivan so we could downsize from a 3 car household to a 2 car household, and the SUV and my Lexus were the casualties. My car still looked great and drove well (although not as sound proof as when I first got it, it was still better than a new Ford). I'm sure someone will buy it and be very happy with it for another 5-10 years. |
