I would have bet you are right.
However, wholesale has been running $21,000
So, $23,900 isn't ridiculous.

Tough car to haggle on.
A Mazda dealer isn't going to have any interest in retailing it.

Trade is probably $8-9,000

Edmunds TMV for a new one is right at about $25000. Who in their right mind would pay even close to $23900? But then again, I've always heard that used Hondas and Toyotas get all the "stupid" money.

I too am considering a vehicle such as this one.

Well, I have to disagree - you can buy a new one for the same money. This is just another example of why a late model Honda is poor used car value.

Well, if volvomax says it's 21K wholesale, I say 22K, reasonable?

BMW SUV's not immune by smwls8

Ebay and internet prices on X3's and X5's seem dirt cheap to me, i guess even they cant escape current SUV market slump. 06 X5's with 25k miles listed for 26-27K? The V8 models are rated 13 city, 17 hwy, guess that explains everything. i have an 03 Jag x-type, 30k miles, metallic grey with black guts, non-sport to trade, but there isnt a thing in the world wrong with it, and it gets 22-23 around town and 29-30 on the hwy, AND it's paid for. I know the AWD feature will bring more $$$'s up north, but how far north would i have to drive to get top dollar? I am on the gulf coast....Thanks

I'm not trying to criticize your choice of cars, but I think the x-type won't be that easy to sell. If you bring it up north, you'll be getting into Subaru territory. The problem with the x-type is that it was basically a Ford Mondeo under the skin and, as I recall, it didn't get very good crash ratings. I remember the Jag dealers discounting them drastically in the last days. If you like the car and it's been reliable, this may be one situation where it's better to keep it and run it into the ground.
