Everything I've seen suggests that Honda/Acura does not negotiate on lease buyouts so it probably isn't an option. It is true that the prices of MDXs have been hit very hard this year so maybe the company will change its stance at some point.

Given the damage history, it's hard to see how it could be worth more than 15K (if that much) to a buyer.

Quite a few 335i Coupes running thru the factory sales.
Avg price w/ your miles is between $41-42k

Figure $17-18k on the TL.

Yeah, I basically lived in the TL in 06 and 07. I bought the 335 to replace the TL. After I got the BMW I just wound up keeping the TL as I put the 335 as too nice to drive everyday. I put 19" m6 replicas on the bimmer and a front lip spoiler. All the while I had in the back of my head that I wanted an m3. I am having a few issues with the 335 now. I am thinking that I may just want to have one car. The only issue I am having is that I put pretty high mileage per year and I don't know if I can do that to an M3. I drive about 18k per year. They have an 08 m3 sedan at my dealer that is beautiful. The 2.9% they are offering makes it attractive. I have always wanted an m3. One of the main reasons I bought the 335 used was in case I wanted to dump it.

BMW dealer offered me 34000 on the 335. I laughed in his face. He countered with $37k. He offered $2500 off sticker on an m3. This is a sticker with paint and fabric protection, wheel warranty, mats and other crap. We've got to do better.

should be an easy one..

2007 S60 2.5T. Dark blue over gray leather. It is at a dealer, but I haven't seen it yet. 7,500 miles. I think (assume) it is certified. Seems to be fully/normally loaded (I expect they are somewhat all the same these days?) I would also guess from the miles it was a service loaner.

Anyway, what would be the expected going rate for one of these?

In NJ BTW.

Hey thanks, volvomax. This was very helpful. I will convince myself to love the 4Runner for another 3 years.

But how insurance companies can say there is no loss after a repairable collision is beyond me.........and a discussion for another forum....

Thanks again.

Hello, would like a realistic trade-in value on the following:
VW Passat 2006 (leased Oct 05 36mo lease)
Sedan 2.0T (Std-Non Value Edition)
20000 Miles
Reflex Silver
Std Passat Features
Extras include :
Rear Side Airbags
17" Alloy Wheels
Very good condition, mainly used to commute to nearby
train station. This is in NJ. Clifton area.

My Dilemna is the buyout on my lease is $15.5 K. My goal is to purchase a new Passat CC in 3 months due to zero/low availability right now(dont want to pay thru the nose for an early buyer) . Is it worth me buying out my lease and trading in later..it depends on what the current realistic trade-in value of the car is and if I can atleast breakeven. Thanks for any insight and help!

layman here, but I expect that it will cost more than it is worth to buy out the lease (and pay al lthe sales tax, which is over 1K in NJ), then you have to sell it.

Have you asked about extending the lease instead for a few months? Especially if you are planning to buy another VW!
