I understand, and I'm considering that as well. We're considering it since we're not upside down, and there are still a little over 2 years left on the Honda loan (bought it used), and the maintenance will increase during that time with the miles. If trading it meant taking a loss, that would be a different story. Unfortunately, most of the driving my Honda does is 16-18 mpg, and I'm not a leadfoot, so that is why we're looking into it. It would only make sense to me if I can get to 25+ mpg in city driving. I do appreciate your honesty though. Thanks.

Subies don't get the best mpg since they are AWD. I have one and would love to sell it but I don't have enough equity to get into something that I would like for the same payment. That being said, I love my Legacy GT and would really hate to sell it.

I know what you mean - I really like the Element, but since I have the equity and don't need 2 "utility" type vehicles (other one is a minivan), we're looking at the savings aspect, but I need to be around 25 mpg city to make any sense, so I'm looking at subcompacts and compacts.

Hello, I live in Orlando, Fl and I am looking for the trade-in value of my vehicle. It is a 2003 Toyota Corolla LE, 4 door sedan. It has a 1.6L engine with an automatic transmission. It currently has 45,980 miles on it. The car has power everything, single cd audio system, ABS brakes, and cruise control. The car does have a few scratches and.or dings. The paint looks good. The cars runs really well. I would say the tires have at least 75% tread left. The car is its 2nd set of tires. Brakes just got new pads about 3 months ago. I think that is about it. Any info given would be great! Thanks for your assistance!

This is a highly desirable used car, especially right now, and should bring $9000 to $9500 on craigslist if it looks nice. Somebody else might have a hard trade number but my feeling is that it's worth $7500, give or take $500.
