Replying to: kk2482 (Jan 01, 2006 8:35 pm) Is this the right price for this vehicle or is there something terribly wrong with it that the dealer might be hiding? What would be the right price for this vehicle? What price should I offer if I did find a car similar to this?** ================================== 04 Honda Accord EX V6 Auto with 17,000 miles for: $13,999 .....? .. here's some possibilities: It's been hit more times than Joe Lewis ... It's a test platform used by Terrorists ... It's been hit by a meteorite ... It's a test vehicle by the French from 3 weeks ago ... It was used as a row boat after Katrina ... It was used as a submarine during Rita ... Pick one ... there's no such thing as a $13,999 04 17k Honda EX V6 unless "one or all" of the above happened --- it's a $20,000 vehicle .... in the meantime, I have this little piece of property just south of the Caymans and ........... Replying to: rroyce10 (Nov 07, 2005 2:10 pm) It's been almost 2 months. I did exactly as you said, but I had no responses at the $12,900. I only started getting responses when I lowered it to $11,900 and those responses were all in the "why are you charging so much?" vein. With no one willing to pay that, I've now lowered the price to $10,800 and I'm still getting lots of responses from people who say I'm asking too much because I'm over Blue Book. I'm getting lots of offers for $10k and under, but I haven't bitten yet. I'm getting a little antsy though and may have to go low if I can't sell in the next few weeks. So I do appreciate your help, but you were way off this time.

I wish you the best of luck. I am posting my 02 Mazda in the paper so I know the feeling. |

Terry. I was able to locate the following offer here in the central Texas area. The carfax is clean, and the car looks like its in good condition. Please tell me what price would be right for this? The owner noted the following. 2004 Honda Accord LX 2.4L 4 Cylinder 5spd manual transmission Clean Condition Power Windows, Mirrors, & Locks 4 Wheel ABS Brakes Front & Side airbags for driver/passenger (this is an upgrade option not standard on LX models) Alloy custom wheels Spoiler Tinted windows - professionally done Color: Graphite Pearl (Grey) & Grey cloth interior I'm going to have a friend of the family thats a mechanic take a look at it further. THANKS TERRY!

Replying to: streetster (Jan 02, 2006 10:37 am) The miles just seemed really high for a $10,000 asking price. I ran the Jeep that you are looking at and these are the numbers that I came up with since you didn't list many options. Trade in = $4517 Private party = $6176 Dealer Retail = $7902 Run the numbers yourself and see what you come up with.. remember to "check" all the options so your number will be more accurate. Looks like Terry hit this one on the nose! Mark |
