| I looking to buy a Passat 2.0T. This will be my first time purchasing a car and I am looking to buy in or around the Boston area. Can someone let me know of prices that they received for this car. | |

Well I just bought a '06 Passat 2.0T Automatic with a package 1 for 25,369, which came out to 27,200 after T.T.& L. That's about $200 over the invoice price according to edmunds. I believe I could have gotten it down to invoice if I negotiated/haggled the salesman some more, but it was late and I wanted to get the Passat in my garage. I was also quoted a drive-out price of 25,890 for a base model 2.0T automatic (package 0) from the same dealership. BTW I bought the car in Houston, TX. Hope this helps some of you guys out

You saved me an easy $2000, because I didnt want leather anyway. But I still get the leather wheel, shifter, and the cool wheel buttons all for FREE!!!!" Can you or someone elaborate? Doesn't package one come with the multifunction steering wheel? Thanks, Dan
