Im trying to negotiate my first lease deal, and so far Im having no luck. The car is a 2006 Passat Automatic Value Edition with MSRP of $24,650, we tried to negotiate down to around invoice our goal price is $22,600. Im returning my girlfriends leased Jetta (I wasnt around when she leased it) so they said they would hook us up with the $500 loyalty discount. Anyway we are still hitting around with the numbers, but they are telling me that even if I can get it down to 22,600 they cant lease it for under $300 on a 12kmiles/year for 3 years deal with nothing down. They are telling me the residual is 59% and they are giving us a "lowest" interest rate of 1.8%. If those numbers are correct Im thinking this should definitely go under $300 with nothing down. Any help here on what I should really offer these people, are there less deals on the lower end models? Thanks Dan
