Just picked up my 06 Package #2 with Dynaudio for $26,885 . They seemed not to be too bothered by it and think that is the best price I could have gotten it for. Now I just got to wait for the VW A:D $1000 rebate form...

Thanks to info received from this board, I went in to look and ended up leasing a 2006 passat with package 2. I currently have a 2003 Passat V6 with all the bells and whistles. I was a little disappointed that there is no climate control, home link or 8 way adjustable seats.I was told this will all be available in the V6 model in Nov. Ironically they offer those options with the 2.0T Jetta. They must be trying hard to move the 2.0T passat as the numbers were actually lower for the Passat then they were for the 20T Jetta.I wont be picking up the car until tuesday Sept 6, so I can only give you the numbers that I can recall:

2006 Passat package 2 .No cap cost reduction, acquisition fee rolled into lease. $484 down. Monthly payment $321 tax included.

The dealer is Gunther Volkswagen in Coconut Creek Florida (Broward County)
They had about 15-20 Passats. Of course nobody can say if this deal will be extended past Sept. 6.
After I pick up the car I will post all the exact numbers

Sounds like a great deal. I was willing to put down a couple k to get out of my current 03 Passat lease for the 06 w/ Pkg 2. They would not bring the sticker down past 29k. I'm waiting a little bit longer, maybe 6 months for my lease to dwindle down ( I have 11 months left on a 4 year lease).

Way to go, I'll have to settle for the $750 A:D.

Btw, have you received your form yet? Definitely something to ask on Wednesday's live feed.

That's an excellent deal and a deal I will like to get. In DFW, the best number I got is $328/month for 2.0T auto with no option, 12 K miles for 4 years and I paid the t,t&l. Your deal is cheaper, tax included and with package 2 ($2500 value). Please tell me more about your lease.

Maybe VW will offer the pull ahead program prior to your lease terminating.

2005 1.8T Auto w/ Leathertte + Cold Weather - $22,000 Good Price? by bruceleecc

So this question has been posted, but not since ~May, so I thought I'd ask for an update.

Am looking at a 2005 1.8T Automatic Passat Front wheel drive with leatherette+cold weather package (no wood trim). Two dealers each had posted $27-28,000. I told them I was just looking, but would be interested if they could come around $20-22,000. Both seemed inclined to do so ("I don't think I can do 20, but maby $22-23" & "$22 isn't impossible"), though I didn't talk further details.

Would I be reasonable to asking for $20,000? Or even less? I would probably finance the car myself.

Also, they each claimed these were there last 2 2005's. Is that believable? Will they vanish in a month?

Thanks...

Yes, they most likely will vanish next month. VW is bringing in '06's at this time. $22,000 should be possible, $27,000-28,000? They are CRAZY!!!!!!

You may be able to get a 2006 for slightly more $$.

Does the VW lease require a disposition fee to be paid when the car is returned at the end of the lease?

2005 and earlier did require a disposition fee. So, I'm guess, 2006 would as well. I think it is $350.00. I would have to look at my lease agreement.
