Just finished the paperwork on a new 2.0T under the structure of their aggressive lease promotion (good until 9/6... and its a darn good deal by itself, but even better with a little negotiation). 2006 Passat 2.0T, Black on Black, Tiptronic, Package #1 with Sirius, cold weather package, and the super-secret multi-function steering wheel "free production error" (thank you forum! MSRP $27,440. Invoice is $25,357. Add $280 in dealer ad & prep fees and I gave them $363 over invoice for arranging exactly what I wanted so the "Off the lot" selling price was an even $26,000 (I like this dealership and didn't fight too hard (other than being well informed), so I think readers could get $25,500 or better if you want to fight/shop for it or are flexible - which I wasn't on either count.) Lease is 36 mos, 36,000 miles. Only first payment and title/license fees at inception - $454. No Down Payment / Cap Cost reduction. Security deposit of $300 was waived (have 2 leases with VW Credit) Acq fee of $595 was rolled into the lease. $334.33 total monthly payment (incl 5.1% tax) I'll miss my 2002 Passat 1.8T GLS, especially with the manual transmission, when that lease ends next week.. but I'm looking forward to this new 2006. Hope this info helps other shoppers. Good luck! Pack PS- ASK FOR them to find one with that multifunction steering wheel with the early production Package #1s!!! Its free and if they are like mine, the VW guys never heard of it. - 2002 1.8T Passat GLS (retiring 9/6/05) 2004 1.8T Passat Wagon GLS and now a new 2006 2.0T Passat

Replying to: fsufan (Aug 30, 2005 6:13 am) The lowest I got with them was pretty aggressive. Package 2 (MSRP $28,415) 36 month lease 18K miles/year $380/month (that includes tax) $500 down The other dealer was World VW in Neptune Only got a phone quote and right off the bat, they would sell that same car (package 2, MSRP of $28,415) at $26,651. 36 month, 18k lease was $380/mo (includes tax) w/ $876 down. While I didn't complete the deal at either place (still on the fence) David Michael had some appreciable inventory. I didn't get the impression World had a ton of cars sitting on the lot. Hope this helps! Steve |

The dealer is Gunther Volkswagen in Coconut Creek Florida (Broward County) They had about 15-20 Passats. Of course nobody can say if this deal will be extended past Sept. 6.
