The discounts are offered on the 2005, which are almost gone now. If you want one, you better hurry up to get the color and configuration you want. We couldn't find a GLX 4Motion in the collor we wanted in a 200 mile radius. Ended up buying it in silver with black, interior, which was close to the bottom of our color preference. That was over a month ago...

Has anyone done an off-lease purchase of their leased Passat from VW Credit? Any information on experience, ability to negotiate (i.e., price, CPO status, financing, necessity to work with VW Credit or local dealer, or other negotiable factors) would be appreciated.
Thanks.

That is too broad of a question? What options are on the car? Price of the car? Invoice or Retail Price?

Sorry about that...I am referring to the 2.0T standard model. The price of the car is approx $24k. That is invoice price according to the dealership. I'm trying to negotiate and need to get some more numbers to go back to them with. Their offer: $355.35 + tax, no money down, 3 years, 12,000 miles. I want it lower....

ive heard of people getting there advertised offer with zero down. that would be a 2.0 with premium ~290/month(+tax) for 36 months 12k miles/year. its a msrp of just over 27k . They are paying up front fees like aquisition and security deposit i believe.

Well the one that VW is advertising is the 2.0T with Package 1, which apparently comes with XM or Sirius? That is at the VW site. It's $289 plus tax. Not sure about the mileage. It's 36 months though. The driveaway is like $2400+ but the dealer has to discount like $500. The money factor is like .00065, although one local dealer quoted me .00080.
Would be interested to see if anyone has actually leased these yet.
Don't see too much advertising. They don't even list the EPA figures on the VW site.

Thats the one. I would use that as a reference point for negotiating. People are getting it without paying the cap cost reduction referenced in that deal. Seems like you can buy these at very close to invoice.
