| We just got our first VW wagon for $23,250+fees in bay area, CA. Thanks for all the info people are willing to share in this forum so that we really know what to expect when we negotiate. | |

| Got it for about 27000 or so and they threw in window tinting. Black on black. It was the only manual on the lot. Financing at 1.9, since I did not put anything down and with the resale value I am now not upsidedown in payments. Moved and tried to sell the car this year for about $1000 below kelly but got very very few lookers. Guess I am OK with that since I really like the car anyway. Best things about the car, solid, fine fit and finish, great resale if you can get anyone to look at it. | |

I just bought a GLS 1.8T automatic, year 2005 for 23.000 at 3.9%. It's my first experience with VW. Before, I had an Acura Integra. Even though the driving is great, I'm kind of worried because of all the bad things about VW people keep telling me since I have the car. I also bought extended warranty platinum 7 years/ 100.000 miles for $ 1,863. I found it kind of expensive and I am thinking to cancel it. I have 60 days to do so. Can someone tell me if it is a good idea to cancel it. Tonite

Keep the warranty, keep the car for 7 years, and enjoy a great ride. The Passat is the best car for the money I've owned in over 40 years of car ownership. It does everything I want a car to do. It gets great mileage, rides and handles well, is quiet, and puts a smile on my face every time I park it and look back over my shoulder. It may not be as reliable as some other brands, but it sure is enjoyable. If VW made a more reliable vehicle, they would own the market. I also owned an Integra. It was fun to drive, and very reliable, but the Passat is a class above for driveability. I thought VW was offering 0% financing on 05's. |

| Finalizing my order on a 2005 Passat TDI GLS Wagon. Does anyone have any opinion on the improved ride or looks that the 17 inch wheels give? Full-boat on options and will get it for 1/2-way between invoice and sticker... | |
