you'd have to pry it from my wifes hands (and she'd be dead before she'd let it go). We bought it at the before stated price -- Capital Cities in the Albany NY area. Too good a deal on a brand new GLX wagon. (w/4motion!)

I just bought a used 2004 glx 4motion sedan for 24900 dollars. It had only 1800 miles on it. I know this is a good deal. But how good of a deal is it?

Just bought a new 2004 GL Wagon with AT, Cold Weather and Monsoon for 19,124 + TTL at Hatfield VW in Columbus, OH. Invoice is 23,003 and there was 3,500 in dealer cash in lieu of the 0% financing.

How good is this deal? (All the dealers here in Cincinnati were trying to tack on about $500 in advertising fees, port fees, etc. - shown on their "official" invoice).

Hatfield is highly recommended - great buying experience and very professional salespeople.

We just got a 2004 GLS sedan with leather, cold weather for $21800 + TTL at Ganley in North Olmsted, Ohio.

The experience was great. I had called a few people who wouldn't talk money over the phone. I called Ganley and told them I knew what I wanted and didn't want to waste any time coming in. I said I have the Edmunds TMV and the salesman said- how much is it? Then I told him about VW incentives and he just took off the money faxed me a contract and we had the car in two days. The whole experience took 2 hours to pick up our car and do a trade-in.

2004 GLX 4-Motion - Good deal? by savines

My wife and I just purchased a 2004 GLX 4-Motion Wagon, Samoa Red with Beige Leather, for $28,993.00 + TTL.

I was also able to get them to throw in 2 barracuda bike racks and a set of cargo bars on which to mount them, for an additional $200.

By my estimation, I paid approximately $2,000 below dealer invoice, leaving the dealer with a cash profit of approximately $2,050.00 (after factoring in holdback and factory to dealer cash).

Are my calculations right? Was this a good deal?

Hi there:

I am planning to purchase a 2004 or 2005 Passat TDI Wagon. How do I get to know the VW incentives?

Thank you,

Uwe

ok....what's the deal with dealer asking for sticker price on the Passat TDI trying to tell me its my lucky day that they will not ask for anymore that sticker???? ....BS .... thats what I wanted to tell the sales manager, are you kidding me???I said. He said its my call and he acted as if he didn't have the time to waste since its a "TDI". I am sorry people but this CRAP has to stop. I nearly told him you'r lucky I am back here again after my 2001 Jetta gave me SOOOOO much trouble and I am still trying to buy a VW product....all my family are driving Japanese products and have No proplem. For people out there STOP paying sticker for the TDI you are spoiling it for the rest of us.....sorry i had to vent

Right on, brother !!! Living in Texas, I can't believe people are paying sticker for the car since diesel has such a bad rap here. When I went to the dealership, they intimated that they would discount the thing by $1000-$1500 bucks.

My belief has been they have limited the production to increase demand for the car. The car is selling around 5,000 to 6,000 dollars more than a 4 cylinder Passat.
