| you'd have to pry it from my wifes hands (and she'd be dead before she'd let it go). We bought it at the before stated price -- Capital Cities in the Albany NY area. Too good a deal on a brand new GLX wagon. (w/4motion!) | |
| I just bought a used 2004 glx 4motion sedan for 24900 dollars. It had only 1800 miles on it. I know this is a good deal. But how good of a deal is it? | |

Just bought a new 2004 GL Wagon with AT, Cold Weather and Monsoon for 19,124 + TTL at Hatfield VW in Columbus, OH. Invoice is 23,003 and there was 3,500 in dealer cash in lieu of the 0% financing. How good is this deal? (All the dealers here in Cincinnati were trying to tack on about $500 in advertising fees, port fees, etc. - shown on their "official" invoice). Hatfield is highly recommended - great buying experience and very professional salespeople.

I called Ganley and told them I knew what I wanted and didn't want to waste any time coming in. I said I have the Edmunds TMV and the salesman said- how much is it? Then I told him about VW incentives and he just took off the money faxed me a contract and we had the car in two days. The whole experience took 2 hours to pick up our car and do a trade-in. K.

My wife and I just purchased a 2004 GLX 4-Motion Wagon, Samoa Red with Beige Leather, for $28,993.00 + TTL. I was also able to get them to throw in 2 barracuda bike racks and a set of cargo bars on which to mount them, for an additional $200. By my estimation, I paid approximately $2,000 below dealer invoice, leaving the dealer with a cash profit of approximately $2,050.00 (after factoring in holdback and factory to dealer cash). Are my calculations right? Was this a good deal? |

Replying to: yodaroni (Sep 23, 2004 4:30 pm) My belief has been they have limited the production to increase demand for the car. The car is selling around 5,000 to 6,000 dollars more than a 4 cylinder Passat. |
