Any response to this one? I'm shooting for a GLX 4motion wagon and wondering my best price... I'm seeing a start offer of 28,900 or so locally -- not too bad but wondering if we can go another 2k lower (buy point!).

Loyalty Rebate by tcw1

What's the best way to utilize the $1000 loyalty rebate? Use it to decrease the negotiated selling price? And, if not used towards the purchase price, how do you go about submitting it to VW?

Are you asking how you go about getting the cash from VW if the $1000 is not used towards the purchase of a new car? I doubt VW would send a $1000 check. I believe that you would need to use the $ towards the lease or purchase of a new car.

Sorry for the double post.

Thanks fish8 for the answer. I was trying to understand if I can bargin the purchase price down to acceptable levels, play dumb on the loyalty rebate, and at end pull it out to bring the price 1k lower. Or, don't mention it at all, then wait for rebate directly from VW.

Well, from my experience the dealers usually tell you up front of all the rebates available to get you more interested in the purchase especially if you are a current owner.

Do you currently own a VW?

OMG Chrisbgood $28900 for a glx 4motion wagon? Thats like $5300 below MSRP. And your looking to go $2000 lower? Tell me where you live and where you got that offer and I'll be on the next flight over to pick up my new car.

2005 Passat TDI by kitcito

My Wife and I ordered a 2005 Passat TDI in July and just took delivery. It's a GLS, Cold Weather Package, ESP, Leather/wood Package, Reflex Silver, Gray Interior. It's a sweet car, I try to find any excuse to drive It. We went to Heritage Volkswagen Union City, Georgia and received $1,000
below MSRP.

This is the best deal that I could find in the whole state and also trying to use the car buying services. I would recommend this car to anyone. I'm averaging about 35-40 MPG. Couldn't be more pleased.
