What's the best way to utilize the $1000 loyalty rebate? Use it to decrease the negotiated selling price? And, if not used towards the purchase price, how do you go about submitting it to VW?

Sorry for the double post. Thanks fish8 for the answer. I was trying to understand if I can bargin the purchase price down to acceptable levels, play dumb on the loyalty rebate, and at end pull it out to bring the price 1k lower. Or, don't mention it at all, then wait for rebate directly from VW.

My Wife and I ordered a 2005 Passat TDI in July and just took delivery. It's a GLS, Cold Weather Package, ESP, Leather/wood Package, Reflex Silver, Gray Interior. It's a sweet car, I try to find any excuse to drive It. We went to Heritage Volkswagen Union City, Georgia and received $1,000 below MSRP. This is the best deal that I could find in the whole state and also trying to use the car buying services. I would recommend this car to anyone. I'm averaging about 35-40 MPG. Couldn't be more pleased. |
