I just noticed that the TMV page for the Passat is showing the 2003 models. Unfortunately, it doesn't show the dealer invoice yet. Interestingly, the TMV for my zip code for both the GL and GLS version is more than the sticker price! I knew all these glowing reviews would screw up the pricing! Try it for your area and see what you get. |

Folks, If any one has the 2003 invoice price for the GLS Passat, V6, automatic and manual, with leather option please provide. Likewise, I would greatly appreciate hearing about any recent 2003 deals, especially those coming from the Philadelphia suburbs. Much obliged! |

If any one has the 2003 invoice price with automatic, Monsoon, and the usual dest and fees I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks JP |

I heard from a fleet manager that the invoice pricing for the 2003s are only going up about $200 to $300. I'm assuming that's accurate - given how some automakers are doing the same. And then again, he could be snowballing me! |

Folks,
For invoice pricing, 2003 models, see:

If you want to know the invoice price for the car you want to buy why would you not just call your dealer? They have the most accurate and up to date information available. It just seems to me like a lot of work to go to all of the different mediums and then you still do not know if your information is correct. |

I guess I would want to see the numbers from more than one source to confirm the veracity of what the local dealer is telling me (not that I would ever think that a dealer would lie, mind you). Being able to compare gives me a little more confidence in what the true picture is. |

Hello, I am in the process of looking for a 2002 Passat GLS. Are there any rebates or factory-to-dealer incentives at the moment?? I have heard a rumor about a $1250 factory-to-dealer incentive, but have been unable to verify. Thank you. JJ |
|
| That $1250 is real, as long as you pass on the special financing that's offered. | |

Hi all, I am in the process of negotiating a 2002 1.8 Passat. I offered the dealer invoice less the $1,200 that is the current rebate (assuming he could pocket the dealer holdback). However, he refused, saying VW does not use holdbacks. Does anyone know if this is true? I want to be fair, but if he's lying, I'd be pretty upset! Thanks, Eric |
