2002 glx 4Mo 30K...... 29k doesn't sound so hot for a 2001. its already 2000 less to resell even if it has less miles as its a 2001! Is it 4Mo? if not get an '02 or bid the guy 27K, he'll probably sell. Good luck

There were some incentives, good luck finding a leftover, most of the dealers I know are sold out.

The local dealer still has a 2001.5 GLX Passat with 5 speed. They are still at invoice price. Looking for dealer incentives that I can negotiate.

I just checked CarDeals. They don't show anything. The deals may have dried up. vwguild would know if there are any deals left, but franky at invoice there may not be much left to argue. How would you feel if someone else bought the car while you fiddled?

I just took delivery of my '02 1.8T with Lthr, Lux, Monsoon w/in-dash CD, and Homelink for $24,089. Hopefully this helps you.

01.5 Passat GLX 4Motion by thorsen

Question #1: I found a new 01.5 Passat GLX with 4Motion that has 5,000 dealer miles on it. The dealer is willing to sell it for $27,625...sounds like a good deal to me, but what do you guys think? That's probably a couple grand less than an '02, but it has 5,000 miles, no CD, and a shorter bumper to bumper warranty (although it has a longer warranty on the powertrain).

Question #2: How does this car compare to the 02 Audi A4 1.8T? It's got fewer options, and a smaller engine but has anyone driven both?

I bought 02 glx 4Mo, 30K exactly. no cd, 32 miles. 01 should be 27.5K with no miles, would not pay that for 5k miles. just my 2 cents.

DaBronx -- Is the car you bought a manual transmission? What should I expect in pricing on a 1.8T manual? TMV is about $850 over invoice. Is that about right?
