Bought a 2002, GLX, 4-Motion, 6-CD changer for $30,300 in northern NJ last night. 200 less than the carsdirect.com price w/o CD. didn't have to mention that price to get it. About $500 over invoice with the cd thrown in. the invoice was about $250 over the edmunds invoice accounting for port and ad fees. seemed like a fair deal

Hi silvercrown   Once substantial sales numbers of 02 models can be assessed, Edmunds will be able to accurately determione TMV. It would be unfair to generate such values on very limited sales.   kcram Host Smart Shopper and FWI Message Boards

So you're saying that there have been substantial numbers of the 2002 Lexus IS300 sold? I find that hard to believe. There are several cars that have a 2002 TMV listed. Just tell us you're busy trying to catch up and we'll cut you some slack. It took forever just to get the 2002 VW info on Edmunds.

Thanks for the update, kcram. I'll keep checking over time to see when the TMV pricing will become available. I'm sure it will be there by the time I might need it (next year).

Hi jayjun   Some of the 2002 models that are listed have either been introduced early, and/or are produced in such limited numbers that a TMV can be more fairly generated. When a car first hits the showrooms, it's impossible to determine what it's selling for right away, and with the events of last month, those values may be skewed if generated solely on recent sales.   As far as being behind, I can't answer that. Town Hall and Data Services (where pricing and TMV are generated) are separate departments in the company.   kcram Host Smart Shopper and FWI Message Boards
