Silver and white are ALWAYS hot. Always have been, always will be.   It's the other (darker) colors, like hunter green, that are fickle.

though have you ever seen a white Passat? I've seen a few 98-01s, not pretty, they're usually the strippo models with hubcaps.   Do you remember when silver with burgundy velour was big (late 70s-early 80s)?

I've only seen a few white Passats (or A4's for that matter). Personally, I wanted a white A4, but couldn't find one. I settled on Melange (goldish metallic). I would have taken silver, too, but the Melange was equipped how I wanted it.

Until I see some proof...   I'd almost bet $$ that that was not a wholly factual post.   Re: Color. That depends on where you live...   I.E. A White/Beige car isnt super hot in NY City, and a Black/Black car is NOT good in FL...   Bill

Only thing I did was to fax 44 dealers with my quote of $25K with in 100 mile radius from my home town - Framingham, MA   One dealer was ready for 25500 (2001.5 model) Another was ready for 25700 (2001.5 model)   Hope this info helps
