Hatch by alf3

The Euro literature refers to the Focus as a hatchback. Traditionally, a Coupe was a 2-door, pillarless automobile - no pillar between the front door glass and the back glass. IMHO, our ZX3s are hatchbacks.

Hot Focus and parts by ragtop99

The Chicago Tribune had a blurb about the Focus. Ford has raised line speed to 74 cars an hours from 65 to get 35,000 more cars for the year. They're running at maximum capacity with overtime. In it's 1st three months Focus has gone from nothing to being the number 2 small car seller behind the Civic. Focus is at 95% of Civic sales. The article said Ford has 190,000 orders in the U.S. and 75,000 in Canada. Don't know if that means total orders for the model year or what.
This is great for Ford and people that want the car but for those of you waiting for parts this isn't good. If Ford's suppliers don't keep up with demand the wait could be really long (as some of you are all to aware). It seems that all spare parts are going to build new cars. Obviously Ford did not expect this kind of success and those with repair problems are the ones to suffer. Ford's priority should be to get you folks back on the road and to keep you happy but they have to keep selling cars to fill the stock holders pockets. This is the short sighted approach most manufacturers take today.

Maybe those needing parts should write a joint letter. 2 months waiting is nuts. I would have created a scene in the showroom long ago. Demand a loaner. See a lawyer. Good luck.

Parts by bjammin2

Well, I just got a call from the dealer. My suspension parts are in. Quite surprised how early they came in. They say it'll be done by Friday. Still mad that Ford won't pay for it though. I haven't had time to write them a letter yet.

Yippie! My Focus is back and looking as great as ever. My dealer fixed the stress fracture in the windshield for no charge. Only one day without it.

Finally! Some good news... by silver_bullet

Fgaydos, glad someone has some good news to report on a Focus-related repair! I was playing with the OwnerConnection website last night, and when I keyed in my VIN, a notice popped up for a recall on my car! The dealer checked, and hasn't heard anything about it... has anyone gotten a notice for recall 00E09? What is it about?

Got my WATCH!! by swampgirl

I got the yellow shoebox in the mail today. YEAHHH, inside was a G-Shock G-lide watch (surf edition I think) black/translucent/grey. Did everyone else get the same watch? By the way, I bought my focus in Dec.

I guess most of us will be getting the notice soon.. apparently it is for an Injector Pressure Sensor Replacement. Dealers should be providing us loaner cars for the half - day service.

dome light by cefurod

Is the ZTS combo dome lamp/map light the same size as the regular dome light we have in our zx3? Or would you have to cut a bigger hole? If it's the same size, all you gotta do is plug in the wires and pop it in. easy.
I just like the color blue and it's dimmer. I hate when i first close the door and the light stays lit for a while and it lights up everything.

Dome lights by fgaydos

I actually like the idea that the light stays lit for a few seconds. I usually fumble with my keys and unlocking the steering wheel lock. Ditto for when I get ready to leave for the night, relocking the wheel lock and taking the radio push button stick.
It would be nice if you could program how long it takes to dim for different tastes.
