The car shifts much better when the temp is above freezing. - it is vague and gritty when the temp is below 30F. However shifting improves dramatically once the car warms up, even a little bit. So far I have about 7500 mostly highway miles at 75+mph on my car. The things I have noticed are 1) There is a small squeak coming from somewhere.. 2) The suspension is quite supple now, it was firm when new. 3) It may be my imagination, but the body seems to quiver more while hitting some kinds of bumps at higher speeds. Overall, it is still quite good, almost like now. Other stuff: Norway, congrats on getting closer to getting your car back. Projectzx3, please post some pictures of the car - before and after having your aero kit installed - it would be great if you could take some pictures of how you/the install shop went about doing it.. it would be great tips for the other wannabe kit installers. |

| I got tints this past saturday on my pitch black zx3. It looks really good all blacked out. I got solarguard metallized film 5% on the rear and 15% on the fronts. I know it's illegal so no lectures please. Price was $150 if anybody are curious. | |
| Although it may not look it from the outside, the ZX3 is a true five-passenger vehicle. With Carnival going on here in New Orleans, I've been carting around my parents and a couple of friends to parades (we take the Focus because it's so easy to park). Once my passengers are all inside, they all remark on the amount of legroom and how comfortable the back seat is. Of course, being a two-door, the ZX3 is more difficult for my parents to get in and out of than the sedan would be; but my mom commented that the ZX3's back seat is more spacious than the back seat of many sedans she's sat in. | |

I paid 20705 in the Niagara Peninsula. That included air, remote locks and 100 for new plates. Or 17050 for just the car with options. Add delivery charge and everything to it. Also check around for the dealers administration fee. Here it ranged from 50 to 199. I paid 80 because the dealer that charged 50 couldn't come close the the price. Most dealers first offer was 400 off the price of the car. You can get more off. |

| Just got the focus welcome box in the mail over the weekend. It's a shoe sized box. In it you'll find the G-shock watch, a picture frame to mount in your car, and a bunch of promotional materials for the T4U kits you can order. I bought my ZX3 in Nov., so everyone else should be getting their welcome boxes soon. | |
|
I asked my dealer and they said it was a promotion from september. I was told that they couldn't get a hold of one for me. Did the box have a return address from where it was sent? If so could you please post it here so maybe those of us who are getting screwed by Ford can write and complain. First they can't fix my car and now I don't even get a free watch. I had nothing but trouble with my '85 Tempo; I should have known better than to buy a Ford again. |

drebe73, I agree that you deserve compensation for your long wait. Why not tell them how much you love your car and especially the dealer from whom you bought it. You've already told several friends about the great deal you got from them. You'd like to continue to say good things about them but this car repair is getting in the way. What can you give me to make me happy again and ready to refer customers to you? Then propose your list. Can't hurt, might help! carlady/host |

drebe73, Hang in there man. Sure they will have her all back together in no time. Then you will be cruising around checking out all the roller coasters on the east coast. Even the new ones at Darien Lake near Buffalo. But, I don't think the roller coaster restraints would fit in the ZX3. Just think about summer for a while and she will be ready before you know it. | I called my dealer last monday and spoke to a customer service rep about the watch, she said that she was going to contact someone in Detroit about it and get back to me in a day or two.She never did. So I went eo my dealer armed with info provided on this site from other owners(THANKS!!) and spoke to the sales manager. He told me that a rep from Ford was to be there later today and that he was going to do all he could to make sure I get one-he then gave me a nice Ford baseball cap. Hopefully I will hear something soon.oh-he also said that several other people have asked so maybe they will take us seriously if we stick together!!aj | |

Have you guys see the announcement on the Town Hall welcome page regarding owners clubs? Groups that are taking a long term approach to owning a particular car (as in ZX3 Part IV!!) are eligible to create their own club once our Clubs conference opens. To participate as a club, each group must caucus and decide on two reps who will have primary responsibility for monitoring the topic, keeping it focused on its purpose and within the guidelines of the Town Hall. Interested? If so, this topic is the place to begin the conversation. For more information, ask me questions here or in email to mznorma carlady/host |
