What is not a joy: OEM summer Bridgestones fanning/feathering so bad (the noise) they had to be replaced at 8k miles, I would not get summer tires.   MPG counter went haywire shortly after purchase.   Plastic skid plate/rock guard protecting engine compartment just fell off at highway speed, I thought i ran over something but there was nothing in front of me on the highway. Haven't had it replaced.   Good little car with gobs of torque and still gets good gas mileage.   Oh, another negative, all the ricers want to race me.

Im looking at on 06 new gti manual hatchback that only has 8100 miles on it..?!! The dealer price is around $19,000. TMV on edmunds is more like $12000. Autocheck has it listed as a fleet, rental or lease car. Does this sound like a good deal..if I can get the dealer down in price? Im set to test drive this week. Replying to: buffy22 (Sep 09, 2009 3:51 pm) Becareful going back in. It just shows them that you REALLY want this car and that you are "sweating" them. Go in there with a solid goal (price) in your mind and if they don't budge then GET UP AND WALK OUT , PERIOD.
