I just sold my CRX - a really great little car. I thought the rack would fit on my new acura, but will not. If anyone needs a thule bar set with locks for your CRX, I would be happy to sell this rack - cheap. My email is maryhci.breckenridge.co.us.
Does anyone know of a company that makes a wide body kit for the 2nd generation CRX? I have found tons of ground effects and spoilers but no success in fender and quarter panel flares. I just bought this 88 CRX at a salvage auction for $110.00. I want to make a "hoopty" out of it so I don't kill my 99 Integra GSR that is already hooptied out. I have seen CRX's with these kits, but can not find the companies that produce them. Any help is much appreciated!!
Back in November, 1998 I traded my '91 CRX in for a new '99 Prelude. 2 years have past, and I still miss my little red baby. Trading it in was by far the dumbest thing I have ever done. I bought it new and took excellent care of it. In fact when I traded it in, it only had 54k on it. I had the "new car" itch the time and bought the Prelude without really putting much thought into what I was giving up....too bad.
I have gone so far as tracking down the buyer of my car and knocking on their door asking if I could buy it back from them. They said "no-way".
I still drive past their home about once a month to make sure they are taking care of it. Basically stalking my old car.
Think long and hard before you decide to get rid of yours!
Has anyone heard of any kind of public movement to pressure Honda into bring back the CRX? If they took the rear wheel skirts off the Insight and stuck a VTEC into one they could have an instant CRX and I would be first in line to buy!
Happy driving to all of you lucky people who still drive your CRX!

Back in 85 I bought a brand spanker red & silver CRX in Toronto & drove it back home to the maritimes. Had the car for 2 1/2 years & loved every minute of it, but traded it for a car with a back seat (needed some extra room at the time). 13 years later I still miss that little CRX and reading all the posts on this board has made me a little misty ... excuse me I'm becoming a little verklempt ...

Did CRX's come in green? I remember an "aqua" sort of color, but never a green. ???
I had a '91 Si (red) for 8 years and never had a single mechanical problem. I never even changed a light bulb...I swear!
Only problem I had was it went through mufflers like it was going out of style. Believe I put 3 on it before I decided to buy one with a lifetime warranty through the dealer...after that had to have it replaced one more time...but no charge.
The problem I see with finding a decent CRX now days is that the ones I see on the road have had so much aftermarket equiptment attached to them that the original design is all but lost or they appear to have been driven into the ground. I never see a well kept good looking stock CRX anymore.
I loved mine and miss it every day, even though its been over 2 years since I sold it.
I had a '87 CRX Si I bought new in October '86 and drove it until October '99. It was black, and I kept it stock for the entire time I drove it, all 180,000 miles of it. It was reliable and a joy to drive. I loved that car, but after my wife was in an accident that totalled her car, she wanted me to have a car with air bags. I couldn't stand the idea of buying a car that wouldn't be as much fun to drive, practical to haul junk, economical to run and dependable over time. I bought a BMW 318 ti sport. I tell everyone it is a German CRX with a back seat. While I love my new car, I still do miss my little black pocket rocket. If Honda made a CRX Si again I'd probably but a new one and drive it for the next 13 years.
