Question: Does your car have an oil filler hole that allows you to see part of the valve train? If it does, what do you see when you open it up with the engine up to operating temperature and at idle? If you see oil splashing around, then I'm of a mind to say that you needn't worry, however, if it's dry up there, then discovering the source of your problem might be worth the effort, especially if the car spends a lot of time idling. Best Regards, Shipo |

But, to clarify I think the pressure on this car is lower than it is supposed to be all the time, when the oil is hot. However, it is only infrequently going to 0. I'm not sure about pressure releif valve. The diagram we have shows one, but then it says "not applicable from 8/95". |
